Dr. Lori Robbins has been voted Charleston’s Best GI Doctor, and anyone who has sat across from her in an exam room could tell you why. She has built her entire practice around something patients don’t always get: time. Time to listen, time to ask the right questions, and time to track down answers other doctors have missed.

Dr. Robbins has been a partner at Palmetto GI since 2021. She’s one of two female gastroenterologists on staff there, making Palmetto GI the only private GI practice in Charleston with that distinction, in a field where women are still underrepresented. Her patients often come to her after years of being told their symptoms are “just anxiety.” Getting to the real cause, and watching someone get their life back, is what she says keeps her motivated.
