Colonoscopy Prep Instructions

Proper preparation is essential for a successful colonoscopy. The day before your procedure, you should follow a clear liquid diet only and avoid all solid foods. Clear liquids may include water, clear broth, coffee or tea without cream, Gatorade, apple juice, and clear sodas. Do not consume any liquids that are red, pink, or purple in color, as these can interfere with the procedure. Please carefully review and follow the specific preparation instructions below for the bowel prep prescribed by your provider to ensure the best possible results.
